[STATIC, and then the transmission begins. There's some harsh breathing coming from the other end, as Sam has just woken up in port after having jumped off a building. There's a bit of rustling, as he gets up.] This...

[There's a bit of rising panic in his voice.]

This isn't. This isn't 1973. [There's a honk as Sam dodges a car.] This isn't even Manchester. This is-- Where the hell am I?!

[There's some murmuring as he shoves his way through a crowd of people. If you could see Sam, you'd see his TOTALLY BEWILDERED FACE, as they were all in costume.]

[Murmuring:] God... Is the circus in town...?

[More rustling as he shoves himself against the wall and lets out a groan, looking up, spreading his arms out-- SHAME YOU CAN'T SEE ALL THIS UNLESS YOU'RE IN THE AREA-- and shouts:] This wasn't supposed to happen!

[OOC: SAM DOES NOT HAVE BARGE AMNESIA. He'll just be a wee bit disoriented for a while, as he's not sure if this is another coma or not, since he just jumped off a building and was supposed to land in 1973. He'll get his memory back after a few rounds of interaction. Also, he's in his 2006 suit, not his fabulous 70s clothes. So, SPAM IN COMMENTS, or respond to him with the communicator, IDC.]

[Tosh hears a bit of commotion and a familiar voice around the corner from a shop she's just emerged from. She quickens her pace a little, deftly navigating around a few tourists and people in costume as she follows the sound. When she sees Sam, it occurs to her almost immediately that he might not remember her - or the Barge or anything else - but she clears her throat and raises her voice a little anyway.]

Sam-? Sam Tyler?

[Sam stops in his tracks, looking for the woman calling his name. He blinks, then puts a hand over his mouth as he thinks. He knows her.]

You... You're... I know you. [But he just can't place her yet.]
