Y'know, once. Just once, I'd like to go a week without a murder or an attack or threats of an all-out bloody war between this group and that.
[Tired sigh.]
Anyway. Did a sweep of the crime scene-- Damon's cabin, that is. First thing: there were just... massive quantities of blood, which we can assume is all his, but I wanna be certain. If we've got the equipment to run some tests, that'd be a help. If he fought back, some of it could be his assailant's.
[He pauses.] There were also... splinters of broken wood, which couldn't be matched to any of the furniture at the scene, as well as restraints made from articles of clothing. The clothes didn't quite fit with what I found in Damon's closet, but that's not definite proof that it didn't come from his cabin, either.
Aside from Damon waking up and pointing his finger at his killer, I think our best bet is to identify and locate the source of the wood. I've got the evidence bagged up in my room, if anyone wants to get a look at it. Anyone notice any furniture broken or missing in their inmates' cabins?
Also, the blood-- not the, the blood at the crime scene, but the stuff in the kitchen. Anyone looking into it? I know there was a handful of posts about it, but I figure we could all do with one, consolidated discussion. We need to get to the bottom of this before it turns into another vampire versus humans mess.
[OOC: KIM, if I got any of the details of the crime scene wrong, hit me up. Also, if any folks take a look at the wood, they'll notice it's antiquey.]

[OOC: OKAY so somebody mentioned Ana, but I can't log in to have Sam edit his post to ask for her warden, SO YOU CAN ASSUME I DID if you want Uhura to step in.]

[OOC: I'm good either way! Probably should get it started before the flood starts today, but IDK what time to expect it, since I can't post the start of it :c]

I don't feel safe risking it with this batch.

It doesn't even make sense. They're dead, man. Maybe it's a wizard thing.

All I know is, it smells and tastes funny. Just can't place how.

Anyway. This blood shit. Coupla useful points to whoever ends up sorting this out: a) I don't have the fucking time for this. b) I fucking locked the kitchen door every single time I left it, so either someone broke in or ask Iroh. I fucking figure he did too, he's a sensible bloke. c) I keep a close eye on my kitchen guys. It's got fuck all to do with them. Nobody touched that fucking blood on my watch. d) I DO NOT DEAL OR DISTRIBUTE THE FUCKING BLOOD SO DON'T ASK ME ANY MORE FUCKING QUESTIONS ABOUT IT.
Oh, and e) my kitchen is as clean as all hell. I personally make sure of it, so it ain't a... hygiene problem.

Hm. Not on my watch.
The only time the kitchen was unlocked was during the gas, I ran outta there to save my fucking inmate from getting his skull bashed in. I guess someone could have got in during then - a guy got in and took a knife. Might want to look into that.

During that blood crisis we had a while back, Claudia (you know, that little girl vampire who Lou was real close to) supposedly fed off Ana Lewis and got real sick from it. It turned her mortal....or something like that. I don't know the specifics other than it hurt Claudia real bad. The doctors might know more about what happened than I do, so I'm not going to go into details for fear of making an ass out of myself.
Anyway, Louis says that the blood had the same affect on him. He has his healing ability back so he didn't get too sick like Claudia, but he claims it's the same thing. Now, I don't know for sure if it is the same thing, and I'm keeping him from jumping to conclusions and making accusations publically, but I thought I'd let you all know about it.
I get the feeling there's a lot going on that only a few people know bits and pieces of, so there's what I know.

Ana Lewis. Right. Okay. Who's her warden, d'you know?
Thanks. This is a good start, at least. I'll see what I can get from the infirmary and her warden.
