047 - Sam tells a story.
My name is Sam Tyler. My mum and dad are Ruth and Vic Tyler.
Vic Tyler left when I was four years old. He ran away in 1973. He did it because he had to, to save us. So Mum and I wouldn't know...
My last memory of my dad was watching him and my mum dance at a family wedding. And then he walked out the door.
No.
My last memory of my dad was watching him strikeAnnie a woman in a red dress, and when she fell, he kicked her and he kicked her.
In 1973, I turned a gun on my own DCI to help Vic Tyler escape. When I trusted the same gun to him, he turned it on me and pulled the trigger without a thought. My own dad, he would have killed me... and he wouldn't even have known who I was. Just a copper with the same name as his boy.
In 1973, I arrested Victor Tyler for murder, and for obtaining moneys by the manufacture and distribution of material banned by the 1967 Obscene Publications Act. And then he told me what his arrest would do... to his Ruth and little Sammy. How I would ruin their lives. My own life-- my mum's life.
I thought I was meant to make him stay. That if I did, I could go home.
I let him go.
My last memory of my dad was watching him run out of my life for a second time in one day, in 37 years.
Look, the point of this all is: I am not Vic Tyler. I'm Sam, his Sammy, and no flood is ever gonna bring him back.
NONE OF YOU ARE THE MASKS YOU'RE WEARING. No matter how much you look like them, you're still you. Please don't forget...
Just... Hide those bad feelings away. Don't let yourselves fade out. It's a flood; it's not who we are.
[OOC: Sam is clearly awesome at resisting this shit. WELL, FOR NOW. Strikes in that big section are practically indecipherable, the others are readable.]

We're still like them because we come from them.

He was a good dad. But he was rotten. And I know that now.
no subject
I can't say I wouldn't make the choices that he had to.
no subject
No.. I wouldn't-- I'd never make the choices he did.

He said he was doing it for us, me and Mum, but... It was still wrong.
no subject
Perhaps he was more right then you'll ever care to admit.
no subject
No, he wasn't. I grew up without a dad because he went into a life of crime. I didn't care, Mum didn't care if he was just a cleaning product salesman-- he was the one who... He didn't have to kill anybody!
He's being grumpy to everyone because of no abilities
It's no wonder Prefect doesn't respect you. You're a failure.
Awww

He's confused about you, and how to act with you, Sam.
..Claude's already changed.
If I dieGood luck.
Don't worry, Sam will crash and burn like the other wardens soon. THEN YOU WON'T BE CONFUSED
Uh.

Thanks?
Fffft.. Then he'll be more confused
If you need help,Forgive me.WAY TO CONFUSE SAM

He needs you.SAM ALWAYS TRIES WITH STRIKES. He's a detective
Harv is not in a mood to deal with you Sylar.
Private - He thinks you already hate him as that's the trend these days
He doesn't need to be saved from me, or Sam. You want to help him. Keep him away from the Factory.
..Tell him I'm sorry. Again.Private - Poor Sylar.
1/3 - WAY TO STEAL THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS TO HIM
2/3
3/3 - Private
1/3 - Replies invisible due to AMAZING FILTER OF INABILITY TO REPLY TO SYLAR!
2/3 - Still invisible
I know I didn't ask you to try and make friends with him or anything, but do you have to go out of your way to provoke him, Comrade?3/3 - Invisitble still
Sylar is oblivious but would hate you for this, so probably a good thing.
